“
Why Us? Left Behind and Dying” is the product of a 5 year research project for the Science Education Partnership Award Program, (SEPA), of the National Center for Research Resources, (NCRR), of the National Institutes of Health, (NIH).
Our research goal was to find out if participating in the making of this documentary would 1) change the students’ ideas and beliefs about HIV 2) encourage them to be tested for HIV and, 3) for those who were sexually active, encourage them to practice safe sex.
Evaluation Studies
An external evaluator conducted an interim evaluation study of the project in 2006.
